Chat with PDF lets you ask a long document a direct question and get a written answer, instead of scrolling through fifty pages to find one figure. It works on PDFs that contain real text, such as reports, policies, manuals and contracts.
Add your PDF by dropping it on the page or choosing it from Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive. Type a question in the box, for example 'What is the notice period?' or 'What was total revenue in 2025?', and press Send. The answer appears in the thread above. Ask as many questions as you like, or press Change file to switch to another document.
A tenant checks what a lease says about pets before emailing the landlord. A new starter asks the staff handbook how much annual leave carries over. An analyst pulls one number out of a 90-page annual report before a call. In each case the question is specific and the document is long.
Answers come only from the text of your PDF. If the document doesn't cover something, the reply says so rather than guessing. Each question is answered on its own, so include the detail you care about ('the payment terms in section 4') rather than 'what about that?'. Scanned PDFs have no text to read yet: run OCR PDF first, then come back.
