PDF to Mind Map turns a long document into a map of its main topic and branches, so you can see how a report or chapter is organised before reading it line by line. It suits reports, lecture notes, policies and study material.
Drop your PDF on the page or pick it from Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive. Press Create mind map. After a short wait the page shows the document's central topic with up to six main branches, each broken into smaller points, up to three levels deep. Press Start over to map another file.
A student maps a 40-page textbook chapter the night before a seminar. A project manager maps a client brief to check nothing in it has been missed in the plan. A trustee maps a charity's annual report to see where the discussion points are before a board meeting.
The branches follow the ideas in the text, not the page order, so related points that are scattered across the document end up side by side. Use the map as a guide, then open the PDF at the sections that matter. For a written version instead, the PDF Summarizer gives the same document as short points.
