Translate PDF turns the text of a PDF into another language, keeping its meaning, tone and structure, so you can read a foreign contract, letter or manual without copying it paragraph by paragraph. It translates into eleven languages, including English, Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, French and Spanish.

How to use Translate PDF

Add the PDF by dropping it on the page or choosing it from Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive. Pick the language under 'Translate to'. It starts on your browser's language. Press the button, which reads Translate to and the language you picked. The translated text appears on the page with its headings and lists kept, and you can copy it or download it as a .txt or .md file.

When Translate PDF helps

A family in Dubai reads a German school report for their son. A buyer checks the terms on a supplier's invoice written in Turkish. A volunteer turns an English health leaflet into Urdu so a neighbour can read it.

Languages and what you get

You can translate into English, Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Chinese, Russian or Turkish. The result is text rather than a copy of the original page design, which makes it easy to paste into an email or a Word document. For an official submission, have the translation checked by a qualified translator.
