PDF to CSV pulls the tables out of a PDF into a CSV file that Excel, Google Sheets, accounting software or a database can import. It saves retyping when the figures you need, such as invoice lines, a price list or a report appendix, only exist as a PDF.
Drop your PDF on the page, or choose it from your device, Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive (up to 260 MB). CSV sits at the top of the Convert to list, marked Recommended. Press it and download the .csv, which is named after your PDF. Several PDFs can go in together, each producing its own CSV. The result screen also lets you rename the file before downloading.
Copying a table out of a PDF usually gives you one long column of numbers, or rows that run together into a single cell. CSV keeps one value per cell and one row per line, which is the layout that import screens in tools like Xero, QuickBooks, Zoho or an in-house ERP expect. For an accounts clerk keying in fifty supplier invoice lines a month, that is real time saved.
Tables in PDFs exported from software convert far better than scans. If your file is a scan, the converter flags it and suggests PDF OCR first; run that, then convert the new file to CSV. Once you have the CSV, sort and filter it in a spreadsheet, and check totals against the original PDF, especially where a table ran over a page break.
