Resume Analyzer reads your CV and gives it a rating, a list of strengths, the gaps a recruiter would notice, and concrete suggestions to improve it. Add the job title you're applying for and the feedback is measured against that role.

How to use the Resume Analyzer

Save your CV as a PDF and drop it on the page, or choose it from Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive. Type the job you want in the optional box, for example 'Finance Manager' or 'Junior Web Developer'. Press Analyze resume. The report appears on the page with clear sections, and you can copy it or download it as a .txt or .md file.

When a CV check helps

A graduate sending thirty applications wants to know why none have led to an interview. A nurse moving into healthcare management checks whether her CV shows leadership, not just clinical work. A contractor adapting one CV for two roles runs it twice with different job titles and compares the advice.

Getting more from the Resume Analyzer

The more specific the job title, the more useful the gaps and suggestions. Work through the suggestions in your own editor, export a new PDF, and run it again to see what has changed. If your CV is a scanned image, run OCR PDF first so there is text to read.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Resume Analyzer check?
It rates your CV, lists its strengths and weaknesses, and suggests improvements. With a job title, it rates how well the CV matches that role.
Do I have to enter a job title in the Resume Analyzer?
No, but it helps. Without one you get general feedback; with one the gaps are judged against what that job usually asks for.
Can I analyse a Word CV?
Save or export it as PDF first, or convert it with Word to PDF, then add the PDF here.
Can I save the feedback?
Yes. Copy it to the clipboard, or download it as a .txt or .md file to keep next to your CV.
Will it rewrite my CV for me?
No. It tells you what to change and why. You make the edits, which keeps the CV in your own words.
Why does it say my resume has no text?
The PDF is probably a scan or a photo. Run OCR PDF on it, or export the CV again from the app you wrote it in.
