Image Converter changes a picture from one format to another in your browser: JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, TIFF, GIF, AVIF or BMP, or straight into a PDF. Handy when a website wants WebP, a print shop asks for TIFF, or a form refuses the HEIC photos an iPhone takes.

How to use the Image Converter

Drop your pictures on the page, or pick them from your device, Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive. You can add several at once, up to 260 MB each. A Convert to list appears with one row per format. Click the row you want and every image is converted, each with its own download named after the original.

Which format to pick in the Image Converter

JPG is the safe choice for photos that must open anywhere. PNG keeps sharp edges and transparency, so it suits logos and screenshots. WebP gives the smallest files for a web page. HEIC is Apple's photo format, TIFF is what many printers expect, and GIF, AVIF and BMP sit under More formats.

The list leaves out the format your files are already in, so a folder of JPGs will not offer JPG again. Add more than one image and you also get a One PDF option that puts them all into a single document in the order they were added.

After the conversion

Each converted file can be renamed, sent on WhatsApp, or opened in another tool with Continue with this file, for example Compress Image for a photo still too heavy for an upload form.

Picked the wrong format? Press Other format on the result screen to go back to the list with the same files still loaded, rather than uploading them again.

Frequently asked questions

What formats can the Image Converter read?
Most everyday picture types: JPG and JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and HEIF from iPhones, TIFF, GIF, BMP, AVIF, plus SVG and ICO files. Mixed batches are fine, for example a few PNG screenshots with some iPhone photos.
Can the Image Converter change a whole batch to one format?
Yes. Select all the files at once and choose the target format. Each picture is converted in turn and you get a separate download for every file, named after its original.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. On a phone you can pick photos straight from the camera roll, including HEIC shots, and convert them to JPG before attaching them to a form or an email.
Why is JPG missing from the list?
The converter hides the format your images already use. If every file you added is a JPG, the list starts with PNG, WebP and the rest instead.
Can I turn images into a PDF here?
Yes. PDF is one of the rows. With several images added you can choose One PDF for a single document, or PDF each for a separate file per picture.
Will converting to JPG remove transparency?
A JPG cannot hold a see-through background, so a transparent logo gets a solid backdrop. Pick PNG or WebP to keep it.
