PDF to PowerPoint turns the pages of a PDF into slides in an editable PowerPoint file (PPTX). A consultant can reuse last year's pitch deck that only survives as a PDF, and a lecturer can adapt slides a colleague shared as a PDF handout.
Add your PDF from your device, Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive, up to 260 MB. PowerPoint (.pptx) is at the top of the Convert to list. Click it and download the .pptx, which keeps your PDF's file name. Open it in PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides and start editing.
Rebuilding a deck from a PDF by hand means retyping every title and bullet point and redrawing every box. Converting gives you slides with editable text, so you can update the figures, swap the logo or move a slide into your own template.
It helps with PDFs that were never slides, too. A one-page summary or a chart from a report can become a slide for the next team meeting.
Decks exported from PowerPoint or Keynote convert best, because their text is real. A scanned handout is only a picture: the converter marks it as a scan and suggests PDF OCR first, otherwise the slides will hold images rather than editable text.
After converting, look over slides with charts, overlapping shapes or unusual fonts. If a font is missing on your computer, PowerPoint substitutes another one, which can move line breaks a little.
