How to use Remove Background

Getting a clean cut with Remove Background

The tool removes the background that touches the edges of the picture and keeps the colours inside the subject. That makes it strongest on plain backdrops: a wall, a sheet of paper, a studio sweep. Busy scenes like a street or a living room are much harder.

If some background is left behind, move the Strength slider towards Strong and run it again. If parts of the subject start to disappear, move it towards Gentle. Photos with good contrast between subject and background need the least adjusting.
